The Krishnapatnam Port is connected to the National Highway-5 through state highway. The port authorities have constructed a dedicated 25 km road to NH-5 and a railway line connecting Chennai-Howrah broad gauge near Venkatachalam. Six helipads have also been built.
Initially a single railway line and a two lane road will serve the port with provisions to augment with a second railway line and 4 additional lanes of road in future. New Broad Gauge Rail Line between has been sanctioned under a Special Purpose Company. A pipeline as also been proposed for liquid bulk transport.
The port has easy access to two major airports at Chennai and Tirupati as also sea ports of Chennai.
